
Medinilla magnifica, the showy Medinilla or rose grape is a species of flowering plant in the family Melastomataceae, naturally, it grows in the humid tropical mountains of the Philippines.
This plant is also commonly known as the Philippine orchid, and it is an epiphyte usually found growing upright in the forks of larger trees. The plant produces large flowers several times a year and is not difficult to care for.
The thick leathery 10-inch leaves are attractive and the enormous deep-pink flowers are long-lasting and beautiful.
