It is not often you see Streptocarpus Pretty Turtle and it's beautiful!
Native to Africa and Madagascar in the wild, species can be found growing on shaded rocky hillsides or cliffs, on the ground, in rock crevices, and almost anywhere the seed can germinate and grow. This ability to grow anywhere makes them ideal houseplants.
Although Streptocarpus Pretty Turtle are tolerant of low humidity in the home, they will do better in a humid environment, like a steamy bathroom or warm kitchen away from draughts.
Care guide
This is quite an easy-care plant, suitable for beginners.
Where should this plant go?
This plant likes bright, indirect light, a few hours of the morning sun. Place on a North or East window in a humid room.
How much should I water it?
Keep the soil moist (never soggy) at all times. For extra humidity, sit your pot on a tray of pebbles filled with water. We do not recommend spraying a Streptocarpus Pretty Turtle. They recover very well from dehydration, and this is one of the traits of the species but doesn't do well if overwatered,
This plant is non-toxic to humans and pets.
